Atomic design in Figma

Flavia Bernárdez invited me to participate in one of the lives of her group Friends of Figma Alicante, and I loved it.

I didn’t have much time to prepare it, so I finally opted for a theme that Flavia herself suggested to me: Atomic Design with Figma. It was a good excuse to talk about the process of creating components, from their minimum expression (atoms) to more complex combinations (molecules, organisms…).

It was also a good excuse to fiddle with my beloved auto layout, one of the best things Figma has given us in recent times and one that I keep using every day.

We also touched on variants (another recent marvel) and their new possibilities in addition to interactive components.
